Decorating Classes

 CHOCOLATE CLASS INFORMATION

All chocolate candy classes are taught hands-on. This means you make the candy, take it home, eat and enjoy it! Each class taken is $30.00 for 3 hours. Class descriptions are listed below. You and the instructor can determine which dates and times will be suitable. You will be responsible for purchasing the molds ($1.99 each) that are used in class. The instructor supplies all other products. Call Ellen, at (407)273-2607 to sign up or for more information. You must sign up prior to attending class.

Class fees must be in cash or check and given to the instructor the day of the class. Classes fill quickly so don’t wait until the last minute!

Candy 1 – You will learn how to melt chocolate and keep it usable. You will also learn how to paint with colored chocolate. You will have to purchase one mold of the instructor's choosing. It is highly recommended you take this class first.

Candy 2 – In this class you will do all kinds of dipping and decorating. You be working with fruit, cookies, pretzels, and other delicious foods. You will also learn how to make chocolate covered Oreos in a mold.

Candy 3 – This is a unique class. You will color (using dusting powders) 12-14 different fondant flowers.  You'll then arrange them in a pot and take them home. No mold purchase is required.

Candy 4 – You will learn how to make filled candies; cherry cordials, peanut butter cups, caramels, etc. This class requires the purchase of 3 or 4 molds.

Candy 5 – In this class you will make double sided chocolate. You'll learn how to make a three dimensional Christmas sleigh, learn to use edible images and get a recipe to make chocolate clay. This class requires the purchase of 3 or 4 molds.

GUMPASTE CLASSES

Beginners Gumpaste (55.00) In this class you will learn basic techniques on how to work with gum paste. You will also learn to make the following flowers; Calla Lily, Azalea, Dogwood, and Stephanotis.
One day, four hour class 10:00am - 2:00pm.

Intermediate Gumpaste (45.00) In this class you will learn to make Alstromeria, Gerbera Daisy, and Cosmos. (You must have taken beginners class)

One day, Three hour class 10:00am-1:00pm

 Fondant Class (65.00) In this class you learn to cover a square and round cake dummy with fondant. You will learn drapes, swags, borders and bow.

Four hour class 10am-200pm.

Orchid I (85.00) Advanced class, must have taken Beginners & Intermediate Gum Paste Classes
In this class you learn the Moth Orchid, Cattleya Orchid and Simple Orchid.

9:00am-3:00pm (full day)

Orchid II (85.00) Advanced class, must have taken Beginners & Intermediate Gum Paste Classes
In this class you learn Madame Butterfly Orchid, Bamboo Orchid, and Cymbidium Orchid.
